The Finance Bill puts into law measures announced at Budget to help ensure millions of jobs and livelihoods continue to be protected as part of the government’s Plan for Jobs.
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS), which was due to end in April, will now be extended until the end of September.
Strike off processes were temporarily paused from 21 January 2021 so that companies and creditors would not be adversely affected by processing delays at Companies House.
Businesses that deferred VAT payments last year can join the new scheme to pay it in smaller monthly instalments.
Companies House has temporarily paused voluntary and compulsory strike off processes for one month from 21 January until 21 February 2021.
